Small happy things
Saw this for the first time: Barawk. Have big grin on face.

The Internets mean it's never too late to discover something cool and get a huge smile on your face.

Do you have something that you discovered and delighted in seemingly ages after everybody else?

Yah, I still keep finding techno or electronica-influenced groups that I adore, by sheer random chance. My latest big find is Juno Reactor (best track: "Masters of the Universe"; most famous tracks: "Navras" and "Mona Lisa Overdrive").

Also I can never get enough switched-on chant. There's just something about a drum machine and a soprano singing Latin...

I find myself alarmingly dependent on LJ and blogs to find new music these days: somebody mentions they're listening to XYZ, and I'll go find it on YouTube -- or somebody will link to a YouTube video that happens to have a neat soundtrack, and I'll go hunt down the soundtrack.

Of course, sometimes you find a song and it's not available -- I saw a Kia Soul ad before a movie, loved the music, hunted it online, found it was Goldfish's "Fort Knox" -- and you can't download it yet, at least not legally. Hmph. We are not in nirvana yet.
